The Night Has a Thousand Eyes

THE NIGHT has a thousand eyes,   And the day but one; Yet the light of the bright world dies   With the dying sun.   The mind has a thousand eyes,         5   And the heart but one; Yet the light of a whole life dies   When love is done.

"靈山"是馮雪峰（1903年6月2日－1976年1月31日，浙江義烏人，中國詩人，文藝評論家。1946年選《真實之歌》中新詩17首，改題為《靈山歌》出版--作家書屋, 1947）詩中的重要意象，參考屠岸《我與人民文學出版社‧回顧在"人文"的歲月 》北京：人民文學出版社，2001，頁270-75：
"一座不屈的山！我們這代人的姿影。一個悲哀和一個聖跡，然而一個號召，和一個標記！"
不知道這些是否跟高行健的《靈山》書名相關？
